And we’re not talking only about coffee here, caffeine can also be found in various types of teas, chocolate, cocoas, energy drinks, and colas. What is interesting is that it can also be found in supplements that are aimed at weight loss – so, there’s for sure something to it.
Although scientific research about this topic isn’t 100% clear, it’s for sure important to consider these two facts about this substance :
- Caffeine suppresses your appetite
- Caffeine appears to increase your energy use, even when you are resting (which means that you burn more calories, basically doing the same thing)
The bottom line is: be cautious with using caffeine products and coffee to improve your weight loss.
For sure don’t use them as an artificial stimulator, motivation is something that must be intrinsic -without it, you will not achieve your goals in a long term anyway.
