Yeah, the time is here, we were all waiting for it. It’s summertime, woo-hoo!
But wait, was it always so freaking hot in summer, like, I can’t even breathe properly and that’s what I was waiting for this whole year?
Summer is indeed a bitter-sweet symphony.
So what can we do, during this time to make us still enjoy our everyday morning brew and also do not despise every sip of hot morning coffee? Can they be also healthier than afternoon Martini with ice, which only makes our heads explode in the hot sun?
There are some ways to achieve that.
1. Juices
Yeah, juice. Maybe that’s not as sexy as you thought these ideas will be, but look at this that way – it’s super healthy, cheap, refreshing, and tasty, so – everything that you were looking for anyway, right? And you can still add vodka to it if you REALLY need that. Isn’t that great? 😉
The best juices out there are (in my opinion): wheatgrass juice (for oxidative stress), orange juice (for increased brainpower), beetroot juice for exercise performance, and pomegranate juice to reduce overall inflammation in your body. Do some experimentation to find out which one suits you best.

2. Seltzer Water
You know what’s great when you are all sweaty, it’s 100 degrees outside and every single breath is like going deeper into the Mordor? Seltzer water.
And I’m being 100% real here. It saved my life so many times – it’s easy to make, fast, simple and if I didn’t mention it before – it saves lifes in hot days.
If you don’t know what it is – typically it’s just plain water, natural flavorings (like lemon or lime), and carbonation. But let me tell you – it tastes like heaven on a hot, summer day.
3. Kombucha
This trendy tea is essentially an effervescent, fermented drink. It is a drink full of probiotics that help promote good gut health, improves digestion and also offers antioxidants. It also contains antibacterial properties, which basically means that it has ability to kill harmful bacteria in your gut.
What I can recommend is not starting with preparing your own homemade one first, instead buy one (like GT’s Kombucha or Brew Dr’s one) and than – if you’ll like it – go for it and try to prepare your own.Â

4. Healthy Smoothie
Maybe it’s not as good as juice (in a manner of adding vodka to it), but it’s for sure healthy, cheap (as most of the things that you do not buy and prepare yourself), and if you compose that right – super tasty.
The ingredients that I would recommend for that smoothie to be healthy and at the same time tasty would be spinach or kale as a base, berries (like blueberries or strawberries for taste), and also bananas or pineapple for some consistency.
You can also think about adding some lemon, mint, and ice for that refreshment effect.
5. Cold-brew coffee
Yeah, you didn’t think about that? Or maybe you did… It’s relatively easy to make and it doesn’t lose its properties in a process.
Simple and easy ideas are the best and cold-brew coffee is one of them. What is more is that cold brewing reduces the acidity of coffee, which enhances its natural sweetness and complex flavors.Â
In short – coffee remains coffee and you can enjoy it even when it’s freaking hot as hell outside.

Summary
Summer is not all that great and beautiful as we imagine. Of course, it’s hot, sunny and for most of us it’s the best time to enjoy our free time, but let’s be real – sometimes it’s just too much to handle. I hope that the ideas that I mentioned in this post are something that will help you to go through this time without and not pass out on the sun, being able to enjoy yourself and use this time the best.Â
And as always – stay strong, stay healthy, stay unspillable!
